THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Program Manager for the Transitional Living Program and Single Parent House programs will collaborate closely with the Associate Director of Residential Programs / TLP & SPH, to ensure the effective day-to-day functioning of the Transitional Living Program and the Single Parent House Program. Maintaining a primary focus on the TLP, the Program Manager of the TLP will work in collaboration with the Program Manager of the SPH to ensure the efficient delivery of services to all residents living in the programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervision of the milieu(s), the delivery of case management services, maintaining accurate records and case files, supervising residential staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the delivery of services for both the Transitional Living Program (TLP) and Single Parent House (SPH).
- Recruit, hire, and provide orientation and training to staff working in the Residential programs
- Oversee staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage of each residential shift
- Purchase supplies as needed based on weekly inventory checks. Ensure supply storage areas remain organized and tidy
- Coordinate facility repairs with Bridge’s facilities managers and/or external providers
- While in milieu, provide direct supervision of youth and associated tasks such as providing emotional support, cooking meals, facilitating transportation, participating in chores, completing required documentation/data entry, and facilitating life skill
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in social work, or related field preferred and two to four years’ experience working with adolescents, at risk youth ages 18 – 24.
- Experience working with youth with behavioral health issues and substance use disorders
- Knowledge and experience with data collection and management systems
- Knowledge of social service, housing support, and basic benefit systems
- Capacity to engage youth and provide support, including de-escalation, problem-solving, active listening, reducing isolation, and identifying of resources
- Computer /technology literate, fluent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Outlook, Internet, and text messaging
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of systems and resources relevant to the YYA population
- Experience networking and advocating with other agencies to access housing, medical, financial, legal, educational, and other resources on behalf of YYA
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
$26.00/hr.

About Bridge Over Troubled Waters
For over 50 years, Bridge Over Troubled Waters (Bridge) has guided homeless, runaway and at-risk youth on the path to a stable home and self-sufficient future. Bridge founders were among the first to recognize and respond to the growing crisis of youth homelessness in the late ‘60s and were instrumental in advocating for the authorization of the US Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Act in 1974. Bridge’s Mobile Medical Van, the nation’s first, and Bridge’s Transitional Living Program have been named national models for replication. Bridge continues to be a national model for youth-centered programming and in 2017 Bridge became the first agency in Massachusetts to provide youth-only rapid rehousing.
